Why is my skin now reverting to that of a 17 year old? Is it stress? The little blemishes are springing up all over. It is driving me crazy. I am much too old for that. I have masked and scrubbed but still something is happening. I guess I may need to run out and try some more proactive. I did use that product some time ago and it did work. I think I need to get some from the mall on tomorrow. I know I have not tried any different skin products recently so it must be the stress. Today has been a weepy night. I thought a lot about my father on the way home. It has just been over two months since he passed away. Sometimes I still have some very bad times. In fact I just bought a book dealing with just that. A Bend in the Road by C. S. Lewis. It deals with the trials of life and God and power and who REALLY is in control. Trust me, it is not us.

I remember my very first trip to Disney World was when my daughter was three. We went for her birthday. Right before we left, I got sick and ended up having to go to the doctor which ate into my budget for the trip. Every penny had to be counted in those days, so long ago. Last Wednesday night I was coming home. I opened the door of the house to darkness and of course there was the cat waiting for me to come home. It was about 9:00 pm. all of a sudden I noticed a small bird, a wren of sorts fluttering into the darkness from the living room to the kitchen. I freaked out. I thought that someone was in my house and a bird had been let in. I looked around but it was just me, the cat and the bird.

The cat went crazy. I tried forever to get the cat so that I could get her under control. She was running all around, leaping on the furniture, leaping in the air trying to follow the bird around the house. The bird landed on the ceiling fan down stairs. How was I going to get that bird out? I did not know . I did know that I had to get the cat under control first and she was having none of that. The bird flew upstairs and so did the car. It was utter pandemonium! Finally with a large helping of catnip I was able to trick the cat to come to me and I scooped her up and locked her in the downstairs bathroom. It was now about 10pm.

Now for the bird. It was upstairs. I had to get it down. It was flying crazily around. I tried to get it to fly toward the light by turning off all the lights up and it them came down. I tried tossing sheets over it and then towels. I opened the back patio door and tried to shoo it out. that did not work. It decided to glue itself to the ceiling fan. It flew upstairs again. God help me. I did not know who to call or what to do. I just chased that bird all around trying to get it to go outside.

It flew upstairs again. This time I turned off all the lights and opened the front door. If flew down the stairs and landed on a picture on the wall and perched there. Still it would not go out. I waited and finally three hours later, just a little after midnight, that bird finally flew to the top of the open front door and perched. It looked around and looked around and finally it flew out the front door.

That was freaky. I was tired. I let the cat out and she spent the rest of her night literally running and walking in each room over and over and over again looking up in the air for that bird. She was doing that for the next two days.

CHICKEN EATING COWS! ODD

When dozens of chickens went missing from a remote West Bengal village, everyone blamed the neighborhood dogs.

But Ajit Ghosh, the owner of the missing chickens, eventually solved the puzzle when he caught his cow -- a sacred animal for the Hindu family -- gobbling up several of them at night.

"We were shocked to see our calf eating chickens alive," Ghosh told Reuters by phone from Chandpur village, about 240 kilometers (150 miles) northwest of Kolkata.

The family decided to stand guard at night on Monday at the cow shed which also served as a hen coop, after 48 chickens went missing in a month.

"Instead of the dogs, we watched in horror as the calf, whom we had fondly named Lal, sneak to the coop and grab the little ones with the precision of a jungle cat," Gour Ghosh, his brother, said.

Local television pictures showed the cow grabbing and eating a chicken in seconds and a vet confirmed the case.

"We think lack of vital minerals in the body is causing this behavior. We have taken a look and have asked doctors to look into the case immediately," Mihir Satpathy, a district veterinary officer, said by phone.

"This strange behavior is possible in some exceptional cases," Satpathy said.

Hundreds of villagers flocked to Chandpur on Wednesday to catch a glimpse of Lal, enjoying his bundle of green grass for a change.

"The local vets said the cow was probably suffering from a disease but others said Lal was a tiger in his previous birth," Ajit added.

When I was younger, my only goal in life was to float down the Amazon River in a dugout canoe. I was an anthropology major and had prepared for working in a third world country. Due to family and work, I never have had a real adventure. I still have the wanderlust of going to exotic places and seeing different sites and smells. I always wanted to go to the rain forest. Today I would just want to go anywhere exotic.

Whenever I think of Orlando, I only thing of Disney. I love Disney and have been quite a number of times. I have always just gone on my own. I have never tried one of the Disney World Packages but they might be the thing to try in the future. I know there are lots of things to do in the Orlando area, I just can't seem to get away from theme parks. How many places in the world have 52 theme parks? There are also beaches within a short 40 minute drive. Now I have not yet been to a Florida Beach but have always wanted to go. I missed out on the whole Spring Break party "thing." I do remember watching the MTV spring break shows. They looked like fun!

Orlando Vacation has partnered with the participating hotels who offer the packages to reduce the cost of the ticket prices for the theme parks. They do this when you stay on their property. I know Disney has this sort of thing as well. Disney World is the biggest draw to Orlando. You can even customize your vacation package based on the number of days you want to stay. In regards to the discount theme park tickets, you can arrange to have them shipped to your home or they will be waiting for you at the desk when you check in. I like the desk. Then I will not have the fear of having left them at home. Wouldn't that be an awful thing?

I know I need go get out of the theme park mode. Orlando is a happening place with so much to offer. Maybe I need to have a theme park intervention. I don't think it will last for long, I love Disney theme parks and with all the new rides and attractions they add each year, I never get tired of going there. So bring on the Disney Vacation packages. Right now I noticed a special. You can get the 5 day park hopper for the price of the 3 day. Who can beat that with a stick!? See. Now you see why I love Disney so much.

Last night or rather yesterday I was so tired that I decided to listen to my body and go to bed early. I was in bed with the lights out at 9:00 pm. Well the phone rang about 9:30 pm just as I was about to go to sleep. It was one of my good friends who is a talker and as soon as I heard her voice I knew that my attempt to go to bed early was null and void. Well, we talked about about everything under the sun and she just went on and on. I felt like I could not say I had to go. Well, finally at 11:45 pm we got off the phone. Today of course it had been a full day of church and family dinners and now all I want to do is sleep but I have so many things I ned to do at home. If I try to go to sleep now, I might not wake for hours and the entire afternoon will be lost. I feel like trying for at least an hour and take a nap. Maybe until 8pm and then get up and try to do something. There are not enough hours in the day.

I remember many years ago when I was in the 6th grade, there was a girl named Phyllis in my class. She was teased unmercifully. She wore a wig and people were alwasy pulling the wig off. I often wondered why she wore the wig. She sat right next to me in the next aisle. I never bothered her but I did think she was a little odd. Her torture by the other middle schoolers went on and on. I often wondered why the teachers did nothing. I wonder if they really knew. I finally asked enough people until I found out why she wore that wig. She had cancer. It was like a big secret. I wonder if she had to us or had the teachers tell us what was wrong if that would not have prevented her being bothered so much. I felt sorry for her. After that I tried to help her whenever I could. I began to really despise the bullies in the class. They never gave up. I eventually began their target as well.

Middle school was very hard. Phyllis went through that school year and she did not return the next fall. I wonder if she survived the summer. Noone ever said anything else about her.

I went windowshopping on yeaterday at one of my local outlet stores and I am telling you, all teh women I saw were just ugly. We are talking really scary, like they had been beaten with an ugly stick. It was like they all got together and decided that yesterday was the day for the beatdowm women to shop. They all looked very hard, not refined at all, hair not the best, face had not make up.... they looked harsh. It made me look in the mirrow as I was shopping. How was I looking? I was looking pretty good. A little tired, but not beat down.

Morris Robinson is an opera star who is built like an offensive lineman.

That's because he used to be one. Robinson was a two-time All-American at The Citadel — the military college where Morris was nicknamed "Massive."

Although he aspired to play professional football, Robinson was told that he was too slow. Eventually, he found success by using one of his other massive talents: his voice, a seemingly bottomless bass.

He now sings with the Metropolitan Opera, where his roles have included Sarastro in The Magic Flute and the King of Egypt in Aida.

Robinson first started playing and singing music at his church while growing up in Atlanta. He recently released Going Home, a CD of the spirituals he was surrounded by in his youth. Robinson's unique approach to gospel music combines his rich and operatically trained voice with jazzy arrangements.
