A Kiss is Not Just a Kiss

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Poor Richard Gere. Seems like his publicist or handlers did not do such a good job of preparing him for the local culture. An innocent kiss to his cohost in India almost resulted him in going to jail. Can you imagine?

Kissing a woman in pulic? Big no! You would think that getting the local greeting down before you did something improper would be a basic item your manager of people would find out. We are not talking the inner workings of how to get engaged or to arrange a marrige. I think that is an embarrassment that could have been avoided.

Eve is no EVE

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

This rapper actress I just can't even begin to like in anyway. I only listen to new age music , classical or jazz so the music is beyond me. I did see a few of her shows and it was kind of fakey. I did not like that show so I never kept up with it. I was trying to find some redeeming quality in her but it was all for naught.

Once I saw a picture of her with those hideous paw tattoos on each breast, that was it! Gag! It was all over. Just way to "welfarish and banshee" to borrow a line from Bringing Down the House with Queen Latifa.

I like a good tattoo. I have one myself but not paw prints on each breast! She could have chose something with a little more decorum. Here she is in the news.. arrested for DUI and wrecking her car. Can you do any better than that? I think she needs an intervention.

Rapper-actress Eve was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence after she crashed a Maserati in Hollywood, California, early Thursday.
The crash occurred about 2:45 a.m. on Hollywood Boulevard, said police Officer Martha Garcia. Eve, whose full name is Eve Jeffers, submitted to testing to determine her blood alcohol level, but the results weren't immediately available, Garcia said.
Eve was booked on misdemeanor drunken driving and posted $30,000 bail. She is scheduled to return to court May 17.
A phone message left for her attorney, Matthew Johnson, wasn't immediately returned. Publicist Amanda Silverman said she had no immediate comment.

Pick a Prize! Any Prize

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Then bid on it. Now you might be thinking ebay where the highest bidder wins. Think again this is an auction where the lowest bidder wins. This is lowbid auctions. The key to winning this is to have the only unique bid. This is the bid that only one person has and no one else has bid that. It is a different way to win almost Free gifts. Just think. Supposed you were bidding on an ipod and you bid 19 cents. If noone else bid 19 cents and you were the lowest bid and teh only one to do so, you would win the ipod.

The site is very user friendly. Sometimes with sweepstake sites you sometimes have to swim thru a lot of pop up ads to register and play. This site is different. You simply complete the registration, select the prize you want to bid on and at the end of the auction, if you are the lowest, unique bid, you are the winner! There are actually two ways to bid. Online or by using your cell phone. Easy as pie!

If you are the winner, you do have to pay for shipping and handling to get it to you. Like with any prizes or a cash prize you may have to pay taxes to the IRS. So what are you waiting for? Pick and prize. Any prize and start bidding!

This is the before picture. He goes to the groomer this afternoon. He always gets so whiny when the cars heads in the direction of the vet. He knows. The bad thing is that the vet is connected to the groomer, so he always thinks he is going to the vet until we open the groomer door.

Poor thing. All that stress for nothing. When they get done, they will have given him his summer cut. All the fur will be gone and they will blend teh face hair and leave the tail poofy. He will look like a fox when they get done. They will also polish his nails, perfume him up and top him off with some sort of bow. Man! He lives the good life. Sitting around in our laps just about all day!

Free Forms

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I know just the bare bones about HTML, just enough to make a few changes to my blog. If I had to know enough to design a Web formI would be in trouble. Thank goodness for Forms4Free. That stress is taken away. They have a form wizard that you complete with the needed parameters and about five minutes later, you have a code that you can cut and paste where you need it.

The cost for the service is $19.95 and this is a one time fee. Once you pay the fee, you get a form mail file that is actually uploaded to your site. Once there any forms you need can be generated at your site as opposed to an outside source. There is a guarantee, which is good. Supposed you were paying for a code that did not work? They guarantee a working form and will fix any bugs or snags that may come up. Check it out because Forms 4Free is the best site for form mail and HTML forms. It can't be any easier than that!

Wicca Symbol Allowed on Military Headstones

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I have heard it all. Wicca figure is now allowed on military headstones. I know that the government is not allowed to get mixed up in religion but something just seems not right with this. I guess it is the mystery and darkness that surrounds Wicca. I confess that I know nothing about Wicca and that belief system. From the movies and horror it seems to be something scary and dark. With that being allowed on headstones, it seems like the dark side is being recognized. It is a different world now. Anything goes. In a country where freedom of religion is a right, it means all religion. Even the Wicca.

The Wiccan pentacle has been added to the list of emblems allowed in national cemeteries and on goverment-issued headstones of fallen soldiers, according to a settlement announced Monday.

A settlement between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Wiccans adds the five-pointed star to the list of "emblems of belief" allowed on VA grave markers.

Eleven families nationwide are waiting for grave markers with the pentacle, said Selena Fox, a Wiccan high priestess with Circle Sanctuary in Barneveld, Wis., a plaintiff in the lawsuit.

The settlement calls for the pentacle, whose five points represent earth, air, fire, water and spirit, to be placed on grave markers within 14 days for those who have pending requests with the VA.

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Thank the Lord. Rosie O'Donnell is leaving The View. I had to stop watching the show because she was on it. I just could not stomach her loud, uncouth manner. She is vulgar and course and common. While she got some ratings but being mean and insulting to others, the ratings were not due to any great news commentaries by The View in general. With her gone what kind of ratings will they get?

Plus the one time or two times I just happened to see a few minutes of the show since she joined, it seemed like the fit was off. She was way too loud and seemed to talk over everyone. Even the guests. There seemed to be no chemistry between her and the other co-hosts. It seemed strained to me. Thank god she is gone. She was no asset to The View.

Rosie O'Donnell's stormy tenure on "The View" will be a short one. The opinionated host was unable to agree on a contract with ABC, and she'll leave the show in June.

"My needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me," O'Donnell said in a statement Wednesday.

"This has been an amazing experience," she said, "and one I wouldn't have traded for the world."

O'Donnell has helped raise the ratings for the daytime chat show invented by Barbara Walters. But her outspokenness has caused almost constant controversy, including a nasty name-calling feud with Donald Trump that placed Walters squarely in the middle.

"I induced Rosie to come back to television on 'The View' even for just one year," Walters said. "She has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I can only be grateful to her for this year."

Walters was frequently left to clean up the damage after O'Donnell. She did it most recently Monday, when O'Donnell was criticized for using bad language and attacking Rupert Murdoch from the dais of the annual New York Women in Communication awards luncheon.

"I would like to point out that Rosie's view is not always mine," Walters said. "I would like to say for the record that I am very fond of Rupert Murdoch."

A Slippery Slope

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

When most people think of attorneys, I think that they have mixed feelings. They do have an image that is not so shiny. I know that there was a time when I thought the worst of them due to my own personal situation with my husband, an attorney in the making. I met him when he was in law school and he turned out to be a lizard in a suit. I will spare you the details. That is for another post. He never really used his degree. He just has it. In case.

Since that time, in the course of my career I have encountered many attorneys, most of them good people, professional and with a conscience. These are the type you will find at Simmons Jannace & Stagg . They are a professional staff that has been around for over ten years. They handle clients that range from the individual to the large fortune 500 ones. Whatever the case, they do put the needs of their clients first to resolve issues in the most advantageous yet cost effective way.

The firm practices in the tri-county area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and has achieved excellent peer ratings in ethical standards and legal ability. Choosing the right attorney can make or break your case. When doing your search for legal representation, consider Simmons, Jannace and Stagg. They may just be the ones you need to assist you with your legal matters.

War of the Ginger Snap

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Ginger snaps by the bag in the cabinet for all.

Over three days I noticed the bag gonig soft, getting stale.

Eating began, just a few a day.

Gingersnaps gone.

Snap.

Good thing as the one who owned was complaining about her weight.

Happiness should be the thing as the ginger snaps were gone.

Instead, confrontation...Who ate the snaps.

I confessed eating only the last 10 or so, soft and about to go stale.

Confrontation...I was eating them slowly a few at a time.

Solution.

I would buy more.

Have they been touched?

No.

Confrontation just for confrontation sake.

I will not let the bag go bad.

I will not buy anymore.

Snaps have been replaced so eat up crazy!

Eat your crazy snaps!

Make it quick or I will snap!

Snap!

Book Obsession

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I have an obsession and love of books. It seems that Barnes and Noble is my hangout. I go there at least 3 times each week just to have coffee and fine a new book. Now the books are piling up. In addition I have been making numerous trips to the library. I just got 2 new books on yesterday. There are the books that I have either purchased or checked out from the library in the last two weeks. It is kind of hard to read more than 3 books at one time.

This is my current suggested reading list. Is anyone else out there reading any of these?

Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller

Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell

The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer

How to Have a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver

The Great Divorce by C. S. Lewis

Any of these can be found on Amazon. You too can add to your collection. Check them out below.

Odd Fungal News

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Scientists have identified the Godzilla of fungi, a giant, prehistoric fossil that has evaded classification for more than a century, U.S. researchers said on Monday.

A chemical analysis has shown that the 20-foot-tall (6-metre) organism with a tree-like trunk was a fungus that became extinct more than 350 million years ago, according to a study appearing in the May issue of the journal Geology.

Known as Prototaxites, the giant fungus originally was thought to be a conifer. Then some believed it was a lichen, or various types of algae. Some suspected it was a fungus.

"A 20-foot-fungus doesn't make any sense. Neither does a 20-foot-tall algae make any sense, but here's the fossil," C. Kevin Boyce, a University of Chicago assistant professor of geophysical sciences, said in a statement.

Francis Hueber of the National Museum of Natural History first suggested the fungus possibility based on an analysis of the fossil's internal structure, but had no conclusive proof.

Boyce and colleagues filled in the blanks, comparing the types of carbon found in the giant fossil with plants that lived about the same time, about 400 million years ago.

If Prototaxites were a plant, its carbon structures would resemble similar plants. Instead, Boyce found a much greater diversity in carbon content than would have been expected of a plant.

Fungi, which include yeast, mold and mushrooms, represent their own kingdom, neither plant nor animal. Once classified as plants, they are now considered a closer cousin to animals but they absorb rather than eat their food.

Samples of the giant fungi have been found all over the world from 420 million to 350 million years ago during a period in which millipedes, bugs and worms were among the first creatures to make their home on dry land. No animals with a backbone had left the oceans yet.

The tallest trees stood no more than a couple of feet (a meter) high, offering little competition for the towering fungi.

Plant-eating dinosaurs had not yet evolved to trample Prototaxites' to the ground. "It's hard to imagine these things surviving in the modern world," Boyce said.

My New Diet

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I know we have all most likely seen this before but with summer coming this is circulating. Pretty cute! Who said this was a diet. This is my daily food plan!

Instructions for Stress Diet
BREAKFAST:
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
8 oz. skim milk

LUNCH:
4 oz. lean broiled chicken breast
1 cup steamed spinach
1 cup herb tea
1 Oreo cookie

MID-AFTERNOON SNACK:
The rest of Oreos in the package
2 pints Rocky Road ice cream, nuts, cherries and whipped cream
1 jar hot fudge sauce

DINNER:
2 loaves garlic bread
4 cans or 1 large pitcher Coke
1 large sausage, mushroom and cheese pizza
3 Snickers bars

LATE EVENING NEWS:
Entire frozen Sara Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from freezer)

RULES FOR THIS DIET:

1. If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.

2. If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, the diet soda cancels out the calories in the candy bar.

3. When you eat with someone else, calories don't count if you do not eat more than they do.

4. Food used for medicinal purposes NEVER counts, such as hot chocolate, brandy, toast and Sara Lee Cheesecake.

5. If you fatten up everyone else around you, then you look thinner.

6. Movie related foods do not have additional calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel. (Examples: Milk Duds, buttered popcorn, Junior Mints, Red Hots and Tootsie Rolls.)

7. Cookie pieces contain no calories. The process of breaking causes calorie leakage.

8. Things licked off knives and spoons have no calories if you are in the process of preparing something.

9. Foods that have the same color have the same number of calories. (Examples: spinach and pistachio ice cream; mushrooms and mashed potatoes.)

10. Chocolate is a universal color and may be substituted for any other food color.

11. Anything consumed while standing has no calories. This is due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.

12. Anything consumed from someone else's plate has no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to his/her plate. (We ALL know how calories like to cling!)

Remember, "stressed" spelled backwards is "desserts."

Veiled Rememberances

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Thinking about weddings has made me think about the veil I handmade for my last wedding. I did not have a lot of money so I did make my dress. It was beautiful. It was satin creme with a small floral print embossed on the satin. The veil I was at first going to buy. I decided that after doing some investigation, I think I could make it. I got the materials and found a pattern and some very nice pictures and designed my own. It turned out beautiful.

I cam across the hat box it was in when I moved. It was still beautiful. It had not yellowed at all. I tried it on and for some reason I decided to keep it. I was thinking about sending it off to good will. I can't. It reminds me of a time that I held most sacred. I made that veil and alot of love and feeling went into making it. That still means alot ot me, althought the marriage is long over. Funny the things we stay attached to.

Dreams Not Forgotten!

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Long ago I used to dream of a nice big wedding. I had it all planned out. I used to get bride magazine and I used to cherish those magazines. I looked at gowns and dreamed that one day I would have that princess wedding. Sometimes dreams can vanish on their own. Sometimes they go away due to evil family members. I had a mother who told me she would never fund a wedding for me or come to a wedding of mine. Do you know crippling that was to me as a very young person, engaged for the first time. There would be no violin music or me in that expensive gown. As a young person in college with no money, I felt no hope.

Time passed. Fiances came and went and when I did get married it was at the justice of the peace with no family. Just me and my husband. He and I are no more. Then I got married again. Again at the justice of the peace. No big wedding. He and I are no more. I still have hope. I still dream that I will have that beautiful gown and the violins. I still have hope.

When I think back I can't remember what sort of personalized wedding favors I wanted. It has been a long time. If I had to pick today, I would really have to think about it. I know where I would go to start looking. It would be the Internet Wedding Superstore. They have thousands of ideas of economical, personalized wedding favors for both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. I browsed through and found all sorts of things I had not considered like the playing cards, hot sauce (who would have thought hot sauce?) and the water bottles.

There are even some things on sale right now, so the savings are even more! In addition, most of the personalization is free. Favors are not just the only thing you will find there. There are lots of other things that you might need for a wedding including items to use during the ceremony to apparel and planning tools. It is not all about the favors, but favors are a big thing!

X-Files: They Never Get Old!

Snapshots In My Time...

I love the X-Files. I had been buying the season on amazon. I had just bought season 2 and was pricing season three and saw some absolutely ridiculously high price for all the other seasons. I waited to buy them. I just happened to be as Costco and low and behold... all the missing seasons I did not have. Season three on up to the end for only $22.00 each. I looked through the stack and there was only one of each season left. Maybe two in some.

Well I bought them all so now I have all the seasons. The complete collection! I have started at the beginning and am now up to season 4. Mulder is still dreamy! I never get tired of looking at him.

God Sent a Horsefly to Wake Me Up

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I was told a fantastic story on yesterday by my mother. She actually believes this. Long ago when she was first married to my father, the heat went out one very cold night. They were using space heaters and she moved a small heater to the bedroom. She went to sleep. Some hours later she was awaken by the sound of a loud horsefly buzzing right by her head.

The fly woke her up. She looked up and the fly was on the curtain above her looking down at her. She realized that she needed to get up and turn off the heater and open the door. All the air was being sucked out of that room and she was way too hot. She swears that the horsefly was sent by god to wake her up.

My take? I told her no such thing happened. It just happened to be a fly in the room flying around. She swears the fly just disappeared after that. My take? She opened the door and it flew into another part of the house. There is just no changing her mind.

Directory with a New Vision

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Have you heard about Big Web Links Bid Directory? Well it is not your average link directory. It is a directory with a new vision. I know that I have submitted my blog to many different directories with varying results. On some I can find my link fairly easily. On others I have to do a search to find it deep buried on some page a long way away from the front page or top spots.

This directory is different in that position is determined by bid amount. The better the bid, the better the placement. It gives control of where your link is located to the site owner and not the directory staff. I like that. Money talks. If you want your blog to be in a better position, you can contribute more and that will bring about an immediate change in link location.

The top ten links are listed on the home page and the top 20 are on the top links page. This allows more than one link, so your site will get even more exposure and traffic. The basic charge to get listed is $29.90 and after that, you can increase your contribution to gain position over other links in the same category. You ought to check it out. Links are permanent and the initial fee to get started is a one time fee. Sign up today and bring some "benjamins" baby. You will need some to get some prime real estate for your web link.

My Trip to Paradise Island

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I have only take one all inclusive vacation in my life and it was many years ago to Paradise Island in the Bahamas. It was heaven! It was all expenses paid. I flew straight to the island and stayed at the hotel. We ate wonderful meals and had thebest recreation. That was when I went scuba diving down to a coral reef for the first time. It was about 20 feet down and it was another world there. Silent and beautiful. The fish were just something your eyes cannot even imagine above the water. The colors were so brilliant. It was a trip of a lifetime.

It was the trip of a lifetime because it was all inclusive. I did not have to pay for anything separate or making arrangements for anything at all. It is the way to go. If you want to take advantage of a vacation like that, I highly recommend it. At Vacations.net they can arrange the same for you. You can almost leave your wallet at home because all your meals, activities, lodging and transportation are included in once price.

You are not limited by choice either. There are all inclusive vacations available for just about all your needs: adult only, couples only, golfing, adventure and even family. There is something for everyone. To actually book is easy. You can select a destination, put in your arrival and departure dates and the number in your party and hit search! Your options will come up at all the various resorts and you can book on line or by phone. You can even search by activity and location. You simply put in a place, the dates you will be there and all the activities taking place at that time come up.

For convenience you can print your itinerary directly from the site. Trained staff are available by phone 24 hours a day for questions. So just off the scuba gear and get ready to limbo! An all inclusive vacation is just a few mouse clicks away.

Nervous Energy

I have lots of nervous energy these days. I am trying to keep some sort of routine, but all sorts of things seem to disrupt it. I am up by 7 at the latest with the bed made and soon after that shower and start the day. Mom spents her day glued to the televison. I do not see how she does that all day long and I mean all day. Jerry Springer, Tyra, Maury and then don't get me started on those court shows. Judge Judy and all sorts of other judges I have not heard of before. I try to tell her to get out or at least turn the tv off. She sees me reading alot and does try to read some. She was totally obsessed with the whole Imus think. She had the tv blasting loud whenever it came on. She did not want to miss a lick of new about him. I told her that media had long exhausted that story. She begged to differ.

Indian Giver

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

The Indian giver has come out or is about to. I remember her from years ago. Whatever thing my mother gave me, if she decided to --for whatever reason--she would take it back. Anything. Food, clothes, Whatever. The last time she tried that was in the early 90's. It goes way back.

My grandfather lived with us right before he got really ill and had to be placed in a nursing home. He was using his furniture that was massive wood furniture from the early 1900's or earlier. Well, he died just about the time I was finishing college and I had no furniture to put into my apartment. Mom would not let me have my bedroom furniture that I grew up using. She was into her mood and said that I could have nothing of hers. She was giving me nothing at all to move out with or start out with. (can we say evil bitch?) I could have my grandfathers furniture since it did not belong to her. So I moved out with just bedroom furniture. No chairs, sofa, dishes, curtains. Nothing!

I had nothing for a long time. I finally did ask my father to cosign for some furniture for me and he did when my mother was out of town. She was livid when she found out. That he had lifted a finger to help me. Well, I had the old furniture and I cleaned it up and got it looking presentable. It is still what I have now. In the early 90's she came to where I was living and saw that old furniture, now looking very good. She then said she wanted the furniture back. I told her she was not getting it back as I was told it was mine. I could not have anything from her house so I left with just my grandfathers furniture. I told her it was never a loan. She claimed it was. I told her it was never a loan and she was never getting it back.. She had not claim to it. That was the end of that.

After that time, she would mention on and off that I should sell the furniture and get new. I told her never. I was quite happy with my antique furniture.

My father died in December and she just gave some money to my brother and I from his estate. She gave me a check last week. Well, today is Sunday and since that time she has watched all my comings and goings. If I come in, empty handed she wants to know what I bought. Obviously nothing as I have nothing in my hands. Tonight I went to Barnes and Noble just to get away from her and to get a break from the constant dribble. After about 30 minutes, she wanted to know what I got there. Told her I just went to look around.

We have an agreement that I am to assit with some bills. I am not working now partly due to her and while I have not helped with bills. ( I just moved in about 3 weeks ago), I have helped with everything else. I run this house, do all the cooking, cleaning and drive her whereever she needs to do, do the gardening, help take care of her dog. I am contributing more that you know. Her suggestion? That since I am spending my fathers money that I give it to her. Pay her now for bills. I told her no. That money has not been touched and that I will not be able to help her with bills until I begin working. I can't. I have cobra and dental bills and all the final bills from my old place now due.

I felt really like I was in a place of mind and spirit that she used to keep me in all the time when I was a child...beatdown and with no option. That feeling came back when she said that I needed to give her my inheritance back. Just give it back. After being upset for about an hour...that was my purpose of going to Barnes and Nobel..to get away, I realized that I have an option. To stand by my NO! I have the money. She has no way to get it back. I am not writing her a check. That old pattern is not going to repeat now. I am going to stand firm. If you do not, it lets evil bullies like her know that they still have the upper hand. She does not have that power over me any more.

Evil. Evil is real and it is my mother.

The Golem

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I was in Sunday school this morning and someone mentioned the golem in regards to revelation. When the scroll was eaten and would result in a sweet taste in the mouth and a sour taste in the belly. It made me think of the book The Golem that I read a very long time ago. I was most intrigued by that story and it stayed with me a long time.

In Jewish tradition, the golem is most widely known as an artificial creature created by magic, often to serve its creator. The word "golem" appears only once in the Bible (Psalms139:16). In Hebrew, "golem" stands for "shapeless mass." The Talmud uses the word as "unformed" or "imperfect" and according to Talmudic legend, Adam is called "golem," meaning "body without a soul" (Sanhedrin 38b) for the first 12 hours of his existence. The golem appears in other places in the Talmud as well. One legend says the prophet Jeremiah made a golem However, some mystics believe the creation of a golem has symbolic meaning only, like a spiritual experience following a religious rite.

The Sefer Yezirah ("Book of Creation"), often referred to as a guide to magical usage by some Western European Jews in the Middle Ages, contains instructions on how to make a golem. Several rabbis, in their commentaries on Sefer Yezirah have come up with different understandings of the directions on how to make a golem. Most versions include shaping the golem into a figure resembling a human being and using God's name to bring him to life, since God is the ultimate creator of life..

According to one story, to make a golem come alive, one would shape it out of soil, and then walk or dance around it saying combination of letters from the alphabet and the secret name of God. To "kill" the golem, its creators would walk in the opposite direction saying and making the order of the words backwards.

Other sources say once the golem had been physically made one needed to write the letters aleph, mem, tav, which is emet and means "truth," on the golem's forehead and the golem would come alive. Erase the aleph and you are left with mem and tav, which is met, meaning "death."

Another way to bring a golem to life was to write God's name on parchment and stick it on the golem's arm or in his mouth. One would remove it to stop the golem.

Often in Ashkenazi Hasidic lore, the golem would come to life and serve his creators by doing tasks assigned to him. The most well-known story of the golem is connected to Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel, the Maharal of Prague (1513-1609). It was said that he created a golem out of clay to protect the Jewish community from Blood Libel and to help out doing physical labor, since golems are very strong.

Dribble of the world.

Putin is going to take over the U.S. government and one day we will wake up and someone else will be in power.

I don't want to eat anything from China. Too many people over there. Too many people for them to be clean. They are dirty people.

Bush is the worst president ever. I can't wait for him to get out of office.

Most of the followers of Jim Jones were ignorant and uneducated. He would have to cut off all my fingers before I signed a paper giving him my children.

I get so sick of hearing it. Opinions convoluted with a few facts. Twisted into thoughts that make no sense. Dribble.

I think world dribble is the worst. A little knowledge CAN be a dangerous thing.

It can caused dribble which can be dangerous to the ears.

Online Memorials

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

My father just passed away in December. Three days before Christmas. I had been thinking of a way to do some sort of memorial to him and had not come up with any ideas. I had not considered an Online memorial. I just had not thought about it. The Registry of Life will allow us to make an interactive way to share all the special days and memories we have shared with the one we have lost. There is even a free 14 day trial period for testing it out. Let me give you the full details. Check out the information below. A life remembered is one that is treasured.

Seattle, WA. – The passing of a loved one is difficult but can bring many an opportunity to find meaning and strength. Registry of Life.com – a new Web site developed by clinical psychologist Dr. Wayne Dees – provides an interactive way to share memories, stories, and photos of loved ones long after they are gone.

Registry of Life.com is an online memorial honoring and celebrating the lives of loved ones who have passed away. Providing a link from the past to the present, the Registry provides a legacy in words, pictures and even music accessible by family, friends and future generations.

www.registryoflife.com allows members to create a personal URL for their loved ones and is an easy and beautiful way to continue the legacy of those closest to their hearts. Members can create a customized Web site that includes a photo album with slide show, a life time line, music, customized design templates, and a guestbook. It also provides optional password protection to allow personal memories to stay personal. The one-time fee opens the door to a lifetime dedication and allows families and friends to upload memories, share stories, and find strength together, forever.

“As a result of counseling many grieving individuals and understanding how difficult it is for many to tolerate the painful emotions of mourning – it’s wonderful to have a place where families can honor their loved ones, share their memories, and continue their legacy,” explains Dr. Wayne Dees, creator of Registry of Life.com.

Registry of Life.com also features articles on bereavement and loss as well as recommended reading to help individuals cope with the normal but often difficult emotions that arise when dealing with loss: shock, denial, anger, guilt, sadness, and depression, while also helping the griever to move on through awareness, acceptance, and hope.

Registry of Life.com includes suggested readings that can help individuals find a productive means of coping, and more importantly, help their loved ones live on forever through their memories and images. Using the Registry can also be a great tool to help educate future generations about their family’s history.

“The Registry can help individuals in coping with the grieving process and to tell the life stories of their loved ones in words, pictures and music,” adds Dees. “We want people to have the opportunity and ability to commemorate the accomplishments and memories that celebrate life rather than focusing on loss.”

About Registry of Life.com:
Registry of Life.com is the creation of Dr. Wayne Dees, a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Washington and a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Bereavement. Kitty Carlisle Dead at 96

Snapshots In My Time...

When I was in middle school, I remember coming home each day and my mother would be watching her afternoongames shoes. I remember watching "To Tell the Truth" daily. I rememeber seeing Kitt Carlisle daily. She was a fixed icon on that show. She seems like she lived a full life for a very long time. I just hope she is at peace now.

Kitty Carlisle Hart, whose long career spanned Broadway, opera, television and film, including the classic Marx Brothers movie "A Night at the Opera," has died at age 96, her son said Wednesday.

Christopher Hart said his mother had been in and out of the hospital since contracting pneumonia over the Christmas holidays.

"She passed away peacefully" at home, said Hart. "She had such a wonderful life, and a great long run, it was a blessing."

Hart had appeared for years on the popular game show "To Tell the Truth" as a celebrity panelist.

The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Tonight I went over to a friends house and we saw the craziest movie. It was the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. At first I was a little skeptical because it started out kind of slow. I thought it was really going to be a bust. Then it picked up and the 5 of us laughed out fool heads off.

It is an independent film spoofing 1950s era B-movies. It was videotaped on a budget of less than $100,000, and converted to black and white film in post-production. Actors were instructed to give wooden performances to help with the intentional cheesiness of the film. In total, it took five days to write, and just over 10 days to film.

Some of the best lines of the film are: fold yourself in the middle. We had to rewind and watch this line over and over it was so funny. Then the "tip, tip , tip , tip , tip" by Animala. We howled at that. The use of the "human whereabouter" was another hoot as well as the Amish terrariums. It was laugh out loud funny! You too can own it at home. It is available on DVD. Be sure to check it out.

Beware the Shark Pit!

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

When I was in college I remember something that happened that I will not soon forget. The fraternity that I was affiliate with had a picnic and day of boating at the local lake. Some of those kids were rich and had their boats at school. We spent the day inntertubing and just zooming around the lake. I was not aware of what boat type it was. It was just a large motor boat. White in color. Well, I held my own on the tube. I never flew off once even when I was airborn when I was hitting wake from another boat. My hands were like glue. I was not letting go. Well, when my turn was over, I was swimming in to get back into the boat.

As a joke, one of the guys said that I needed to hurry. I was near a shark pit. Can we say fear of god? I began to swim like the bionic woman back to shore. Forget the boat. I was getting out of that water fast. I was way out and swam back as fast as I could. I was winded and did not feel so good for about an hour later. It was cruel as I found out later that there could not be any sharks where we were. We were in brackish water on a river that ran into the ocean. Could there be sharks? Could have been. Just never know.

The boat? I had not idea what type. I remember the long process to get it loaded into the water. In the lot hooked to the truck there was a boat cover. I just have no clue what type. This was back in 1981 so I do not think that it was made by taylor made boat covers. Today, if you have a boat it should be one. Boats are the prized possession of some people..heck they even have names. Protecting it is key and a custom fitted boat cover the fits perfectly would be the only option. If you are going to invest money in a boat, you need to protect that investment, but investing in a good boat cover.

A custom cover keeps dirt, animals and bad weather from damaging the boat. Things that are key are a perfect fit, waterproofing, support and a good warranty. Some of the other recommended boat cover features include providing sun protection, reinforcements and a mildew resistant coating. The fit of a cover seems to be very similar to the fit of a good shoe. It must fit perfectly for it to do the best job. If it is too small, you will have gaps that can allow the elements to get it. It it is too big, moisture can collect promoting mold growth if you fold it over.

Once you do get the perfect cover you do have to maintain it. Boat cover care is important. From time to time you need to inspect the cover for signs of wear and tear. You will be looking for rips or small tears that cannot be put off for later. The most common place for a hole or rip to show up is at the corners or along seams. A well made cover will have a double layer of fabric in those areas. In addition, it does need to be cleaned from time to time. Selecting the perfect Taylor made boat cover will give you peace of mind. When your boat is in the slip for long periods of time unattended, it will be safe and snug as a bug in a rug, protected by its custom made taylor boat cover.

Running Shoes

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

When I was in college I used to run. That was the first time I ever took up that sport seriously. I t was part of the physical education course I took. That course was hard. I began to run, at first a few blocks. I then teamed up with a nother girl who was in the class who was from the Virgin Islands. She ran all the time and with her encouragement I began to run miles. I got pretty good and I got skinny. I was pleased with that.

I do not recall what sort of running shoes I bought back then. I just remember going down to the athletic store about a block from campus and plunking down about $70. I ran so much I even bought the shoe goo needed to maintain the treads. After that class that was about it. I did not keep it up. I have run at times on and off throught the years but not anything consistent.

I think today if I were buying shoes I would have to do my homework, as to what brand shoe to buy. There are so many options these days. The right shoes will make or break you if you plan to run for sport. Running Centers can help you with that decision. Today there are so many things to consider that range from support, performance and even the amount of cushion the shoe gives you. For example take the womens asics running shoes. There are more than 15 different styles to choose from and they all seem to have different benefits. Some have a "Gender Specific Fit" that offer stability. Others even had a superior gel cushioning system.

Running Centers don't just have Asics. They offer all the top brands so that you can select the shoe that will work best for you in regards to feel, performance and the prevention of injury. The best thing about the site is that it is staffed by runners. They will be sure you get the best shoe for the money by taking the time to analyze your specific bio mechanics. With that is it really not the brand, but the type of shoe that is important.

It does take time to select the correct shoe--about 45 minutes or so. The professional staff is committed to being sure that you are satisfied with your selection. You will leave the center with the right shoe, just for your needs. The shoes are not just the only thing offered on line. There are great links for runners that include articles, clothing links and information about nutritional articles as well. Runners Centers will be able to meet all your running needs. Be sure to check them out on line and at their actual locations. You will not be disappointed.

Constant Dribble

Snapshots In My Time...

Constant Dribble. I hear it all day.
Drib this.
Drib that.
Dribble.

Dribble about race. They are trying to take over the world. They are the devil, you hear me? They have to buy butts because they don't have any. They wear those searsucker pants suits because it accomodates their old butts. They are putting up million dollar homes on what used to be dirt road and a garbage dump. They always like to make fun of black people.

They. They. They.
White Dribble.

More Dribble about race. These men only date white women now. They refuse to give any black girls a chance. They get the worst ones of "them" to date. Look at Tiger. The NANNY! How low. They refuse to respect their black mothers who birthed them. They need to pull up their pants. You call that a man. There is only a prison mentality in the projects.

They. They They.
Black Dribble.

A little dab will do you. For Dribble, that is.
Constant dribble will wear you down.
You can't respond to all that dribble. It is impossible.

How much negativity can their be in one small elderly woman?
I don't think she likes not a soul on this earth.
Not one soul.

About 70 years worth of negative dribble.
Unlike the tide, it does not ebb and flow.
It just flows.

Flows forth in a constant river of negative dribble.
Dribble I don't agree with or want to hear.
Dribble I can't tell her to shut up about.
I would then become part of the constant flow that is always there.

Dribble.
Constant Dribble. I hear it all day.
Drib this.
Drib that.
Dribble.

Okay, it seems that once one crazy gets CRAZY, it gives all the others permission to do so as well. After the tragedy at Virgnina Tech, it seems that there was another bomb threat at the school on yesterday. I just got home today and it seems like the news is filled with stories of something going on at the Space Center...shots fired and a man with a gun.

NASA evacuated a building at the Johnson Space Center in Houston after an employee with a gun was seen and a shot was fired, a NASA spokesman said Friday.

A SWAT team with the Houston Police has been dispatched to building 44 on the Johnson Space Center property, a source told CNN. Building 44 holds a laboratory.

The call for help came in to the Houston Police at 1:40 p.m. (2:40 p.m. ET) but it's unclear who made that call.

full story here

The constant bombardment of media stories about the crazy behavior of others becomes entertainment in and of itself. The media clearly plays a role in our perception of the world going to hell in a handbasket, for the more bizarre and crazy the behavior, the more likely it will appear over and over again on the news.

An additional and often unforeseen consequence of media attention to the crazies and their behavior is that it often contributes to copycat crimes as vulnerable others imitate the behavior seen on television. It is a bad world we live in today. Katie, Bar the Door!

If I Tell You, I'd Have To Kill You!

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

If I Tell You, I'd Have To Kill You! That is what I think about when I think of Privileged access . Things that are secret, top secret and protected by passwords. It also makes me think of bad things I have heard recently on the news...like at T J Maxx and how someone got access to their systems and took the credit card numbers of possible thousands of customers. That is scary. I shop at T. J. Maxx ALL the time. It is one of my favorite stores. I wonder who designed their system and what exactly failed to that access was granted to others not with the company.

I do not think they were using Symark because they are a firm know globally for protecting data and providing protective software to companies that will solve security breaches and provide protection from both inside and outside threats. The key program they use is PowerBroker. It seems like it is the computer police, the way it functions. First it will define the root administrator, then from there others can be allowed access under the conditions that you specify. In addition, it does provided monitoring down to the keystroke. That sound pretty secure to me!

Best of all is that there is a 30 day free trial. There is even support that is available most of the time. Now, if you have a contract technical support is available 24 hours a day. In today's climate, people trying to do bad things in the IT world are everywhere and they are normally very smart people. Systems today need to be even smarter. Providing access in a business is one of the ways that employees commit about 80% of the computer hacking and crimes. Protect your business. Try Symark. You certainly do not have anything to loose except an unneeded gap in your security system.

Spider Sense

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Last night I put the dog out for one last time before going to bed. I opened the patio door and let him out. Normally he goes down the desk steps immediately, sprinkles the shrubs and comes back up. He did not do that. Instead he sat down at the top of the steps just looking off into the darkness. Very odd. I watched and he just looked. Finally he did go down and sprinkle the bushed and instead of running right back in, he again just lay down at the top of the steps just looking out. Something was not right. None of the normal back lights that we have on were on so it was very dark. I all of a sudden got a very eerie feeling. I called the dog back in and locked the door.

I was on my way back to the bedroom when the alarm clock in my fathers bedroom began to his and pop...very loud static. I was totally freaked. My father died in December so no clock should be set or going off in his room. As I walked past the alarm I noticed it was not armed. I turned it on. I turned off the clock and decided to turn on the flood lights and back deck lights. I looked around the entire house. I went to all the doors and windows and checked them. The deadbolt was not on the front door. I then made my way back to ward my room again. That clock began to hiss and pop with loud static.

At this point I was sure that my father was sending me a message from the grave that something was not right outside. Why would that clock be acting like that? I checked the back garage door. It was locked but the deadbolt was not on. I turned that lock. I then turned on the front outside lights. I again went to each door and window and looked for any signs of movement outside. None. Finally the feeling that something was not right outside left. Then I heard the doors from the house that was directly behind me begin to bark like crazy. There had to be something going on. I am not sure what.

I do believe that I got a nudge from my father to turn on the lights and check the locks. That clock thing hissing and popping. That clock has not been set since the moring of his death back in December. Why was it going off with hissing and popping for no reason? I am still freaked out by that. I just do not want to think about how scared I was when I heard it. I was even afraid to go into the room to turn it off. It was so loud it was unnatural. It was so loud I would have been able to hear it from my room in the complete opposite end of the house. Can the dead send us messages and warnings? I think so. We just have to be in tune in order to hear them.

Customs Remembered

The first time I went on a cruise I had the best time ever and will never forget it. It was magical and I went alone. I met people and had a grand ole' time. Now the first time going on the ship getting through customs was kind of crazy. I had packed my bag to the hilt and way in the center of it was my curling iron. I guess when they x-rayed that bag it looked like something suspicious. I had to unpack that bag and pull everything out just to prove that it was indeed a curling iron. I was irritated at the man who was checking the bag. He was acting like it was not a curling iron and low and behold when it was he seemed kind of disappointed. I had another small bag within a bag and it was clean underwear. He asked about the bag. Well of course it was to put the dirty ones in to bring back home. A dirty pair would go into the plastic bag each day so that they were all bundled together. I told him he was going to help me repack that bag because I had to sit on it to get it closed. He did not but finally I got it all back in and proceeded on board.

For that trip I made a visit to my local travel agent in person and booked that trip. I remember going in about 3 times to see her and pay. She booked me a fantastic trip in a fantastic room. That was in 1988. Times sure have changed since then. You no longer need to go doen to your local travel agent to book a great cruise or a trip to a resort. You can do it all on line these days. There are many online agencies out there but you must be sure to check out Hotel Reservations.com.

Garden Gone Bad

Snapshots In My Time...

There is a woman who lives in the same neighborhood as I do but several blocks away. I guess she attempted making an English meadow of her front yard because she dug it all up and got rid of all the grass and planted plants all over the entire front yard. The entire ground is covered with black plastic to keep the weeds and grass from coming up. Needless to say the entire yard is not covered in plants. She has them planted all willy nilly and it looks like an eye sore. No. It looks terrible. She has had her yard like that for about 8 years and it get worst each year. If you could only see it. My words here cannot even BEGIN to describe how bad her yard looks. I have often wondered if the neighborhood association has ever said anything to her about it?

That woman is in sad need of some landscape design. Her own plan is not working. She needs to call SLDA Landscape Designs because she needs someone to get some input on what she really had in mind for her yard before she wrecked it. Maybe they can get it back on track by taking into account some of her individual tastes, reflect some of her creativity and bringing it all together in a neat way. She would benefit from the stepping stone process of planning, designing and implementing.

If anyone could get that yard straight, it would be SLDA. It would definitely be a challenge and they and their team of professional landscapers are ready to take that challenge head on.

What goes around comes around. It looks like Kfed is heading back to Shar Jackson. She is the mother of the first two kids and they were together for quite a long time before bald headed Britney along. These are all young people who have their whole lives ahead of them. They still have lots of time. I think that if Shar still has feelings for Kevin, then Kevin needs to get his act together and settle down with her. It did not work with Britney so the grass was not greener on the other side. The grass was bald and wore no underwear. Shar seems to carry herself with some respect!
Will Kevin Federline have a boomerang romance?

Britney Spears is worried that her soon-to-be ex hubby will return to his former sweetie, Shar Jackson, according to In Touch Weekly. Three years ago, Spears lured Federline away from the then-pregnant Jackson, and now K-Fed is getting closer to Jackson again, “insiders” tell the mag.

“Shar was always there for Kevin,” a source tells ITW. “When things were really bad with Britney, she was a rock for him.”

One of Kevin’s friends explains, “Shar was his first love — plus, he’s been saying how hot she looks,” since she had plastic surgery last year.

The two are not officially an item — in fact, K-Fed has been spotted out with dancer Jade Ashley. Still, the mag reports that “friends say it’s just a matter of time” until the two former lovebirds are reunited.

Home Mortgages

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

My father died in December and as a result of that I just moved back home to live with my mother about two weeks ago. The home is paid for but they added on a Florida room a few years ago. I think it was within the past 5 years and they got a 2ND mortgage to pay for it. That has been one of the things that we have been dealing with as far as my fathers affairs since he passed away. Mom is now in the process of paying off.

I am not sure what process my father went through when he decided to get the 2ND mortgage but there are so many options out there it is mind boggling. One resource that you may want to consider if you are in the market is Personal Home Mortgages.com. They have all the current rates and news available by state. They can address all your questions. For example check out
New Jersey Mortgages. Now for all the states you can get 4 free mortgage quotes from lenders for bad credit and various sorts of home loans. In New Jersey, the total number of house for sale is 24,546. If you compare that to Connecticut they only have 9,305 homes for sale. It is kind of interesting to look at each state and see the differences.

It is always good to do your homework. A mortgage is a long term commitment. You definitely want to make the right decision. Personal Home Mortgages offers real-time national and local mortgage rates so that you can do just that!

Pirates of the Caribbean for Me

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Now anyone who has read this blog from time to time may know that Pirates is my favorite movie. I just love everything about it...especially Jack Sparrow. At the last premier, I went on opening night dressed in my pirate clothes. I was not alone! There are others who share my enthusiasm about pirates. Now I would love to go on the Disney Cruise because at castaway cay they have the Black Pearl tied up there. I want to see that ghost ship.

Now in order for me to do that, I need to start thinking about a vacation this summer. With so many options as far as booking one of the sites to consider is the United Vacation Network. It is a travel wholesale agency that does not work on a commission basis. I think that is a good thing. They are there to help you pick the best arrangements based on your individual needs. There is no overhead costs.

In addition to vacation packages that you might need for a family trip, they can assist with airfare and rental cars and even rental property. They have a team of professional staff waiting to assist with all your travel needs. Now I wonder if they can arrange a scavenger hunt for me complete with pirates and treasure? That would be an exciting trip! And of course it would have to be in the Caribbean. I would certainly be up for that. I am up for a little swashbuckling! Savvy?

Pirates of the Caribbean, Coming Soon!

More of the Monday-tude

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

I forget to mention this earlier regarding the Monday-tude. How subtle is this? I was getting ready for bible study on Monday...reading the book that we working in--reading together. It is called 12 Extraordinary Women of the Bible. Now, all of a sudden my mother decides that she wants me to go on line and look up Revelation for her and print some background information out so that she can read it. Right at that moment. Well the lesson Revelation is not due for her until next Sunday. She has that in Sunday school. She really wanted me to drop everything and right then go print that out. I kept right on doing my work.

About 30 minutes later she asked me about it again and I told her that I would not be able to look that up for her as I was getting ready for my bible study. So them she decides to come into my room and begin to talk. I ignored her and finally she got up and left. Last Monday afternoon it was the talking thing. I was reading and she began to talk talk talk...I left the room and went elsewhere and she followed me and began to talk talk talk again. She is a piece of work!

Program Cars

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

The car I have right now is a Hyundai. It was not a brand new car. It was a program car. You know one of those that was used by the dealership for testing. I did not do a whole lot of looking when I bought it. I knew what my price range was and I knew that I wanted something almost new but not quite used. I think that I was lucky to get it and it was in such good consition. The only thing that was not so good was the seat covers. It looked like whoever was driving it at the dealership had kids, so there were a few stains on the seats. I could live with that. A little shampoo and a steamer would take care of that.

I actually had a male friend of mine go look for the car for me. I did not do it myself. I left him do all the work. It runs well and seems to just go with no problems. It is a 2003 and now I am having a feeling that I want something different. This time I think I will do the looking myself in addition to what I may aske him to find out for me. Not a new car again. I mean, as soon as you get it off the lot it is a used car. I think I want a Landrover. Maybe a jeep.

LemonFree Used Cars For Sale may be a good place to start my search. I did that and found a listing of used Land Rovers in my area. I did not realize how easy that was going to be. Pictures, prices and the car location right at your fingertips. I just plugged in the type of car I wanted and where I am and 2 pages of listings came back. If you are really not sure what you want, you can scan the review of cars by types to help narrow your search down. Lemonfree has cars listed from the east to the west coast. There are cars in every city imaginable. Check out Used Cars New york. With the mass transit system there, cars are not needed by all.

With the internet, car hunting has become something you almost might have to leave you home to do. As a great resource, start with Lemon Free. You might just be able to find your next dreamcar with their help!

Cho Seung-Hui

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Cho Seung-Hui.
What do we know about him? The gunman suspected of carrying out the Virginia Tech massacre that left 33 people dead was described Tuesday as a sullen loner . It is always those quiet ones that we need to watch out for. They are deadly. He looks innocent enough but according to the news blurbs I heard he was disturbed. His creative writing indicated that something was wrong. Why did not his family see that? They had to notice something before over 30 people were killed. He recently stalked women and set fire to a dorm room. Surely someone would or should have seen that he was a man in trouble.

He killed two people earlier in the morning, before the slaughter later. I am not sure why no one figured out he was the one who did that. It is a shame. So many lives lost. And for what? He left a note reportedly railed against "rich kids" and "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus. There was another report that he was depressed and on medication. He really needed to be in counseling by whoever gave him the pills for depression.

Cho was born in South Korea on Jan. 18, 1984 and entered the United States in 1992 as a child of 8. He was a permanent resident alien, a "green card" holder entitled to most of the legal rights held by U.S. citizens. He was legal. But just crazy!

I just hope that we do not have any copy cat killing now. I remember after Columbine in 1999 that kids began to shoot their classmates all over the place. It was scary! This was the worst killing spree in US history. My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to all those families who lost their loved ones or who have loved ones who were injured but not killed. What is this world coming to? I just don't know.

The Monday-tude

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

Every Monday evening I attenda bible study with some women from my church at one of their homes. Since it is at someones home it technically is not a part of the church. It is private. Well, my mother seems to be having a problem with me going. It started over a year ago when I joined . She began to complain that she did not want to keep my child on that night so I could go. She just decided that out of the blue...just to see if I would stop going. Well the place where it is is about 5 minutes literally from where I used to live. My child was old enough and I was only gone for about 2 hours. The decision was made that she was to stay home by herself so that I could still attend. She was 12. Now she is 13. Well we have moved in with my mother since my father has died and she has come at me with a new angle about the Monday group.

Barnes and Noble to look around and I ended up having a coffee by myself and getting a new After the study which is about an hour, we socialize and have dessert. Each of us bring a different dessert each week. So it is the bible study and the fellowship and laughter of being with those ladies. We have a good time. Well, when I get home now it is about 9:30 pm. If I stop at the Barnes and Noble it will be longer. Maybe around 10 pm. Well, last night I did go to theCD: Rodrigo and Gabriela. They were playing it on the PA system and I just had to have it. You need to check it out as well. Great guitar!

I am going on a trip to Brazil this summer so I ended up getting a tutorial CD of 40 lessons on basic Portuguese. When I got home there she was watching the news and asking my why her group has to last so long. It has nothing to do with her. She is not a member and the issue of her keeping a small child is not the issue. She is 13 now and was already in bed when I got home. I simply said that it did not last long and kept right on walking to my room. She just can't see me doing anything. She always wants to try to spoil it for some reason.

It gets old. Very old. It is very old when you own mother wants nothing good for you really. On the outisde and to the public people can appear one way. But it is not real. The real person comes out when the public or others are not around. That is the way that evil works. Evil is a coward.

Benefits of Home Insurance

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

It is important to have home insurance wherever you are. It is especially important to have it in Nevada. Nevada Home Owner Insurance is critical because Nevada is a place where natural disasters can strike all year long. Surprise! It is not quite like other places that have tornado season or hurricane season. It can be a volatile season at any time. The first thing to do is to find companies and get quotes to that you can compare the plans, coverages and the prices. You can go to Secure Insurance Quotes to get one. Just put in your state and the value of your property and the tool will calculate a quote so that you can start with a point of reference.

Having insurance is a necessity. It will give you that piece of mind that when a disaster strikes, you will have some way to recoup some of your losses. Don't wait. It is never too late to get some. It will be too late once a disaster strikes and you have lost possessions and maybe even your dwelling. For unbiased data concerning home insurance, check out Secure Insurance Quotes.

Wind Chimes

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

The world is a better place with wind chimes in it. Before I moved in with my mom, I bought a brand new wind chime from The World Market. Each spring it was my right of passage to go out and get a new wind chime. I put them all up on my patio. I had six all together and some I tried to repair to keep. It was hard to let an old wind chime go.

As a young girl in middle school I also love chimes. I remember a friend of mine from Japan gave me a shell chime that used to clammer in the wind.

The chime pictured here is almost like the one I bought a few months ago. It is similar. I got rid of my other old ones as they had served me well. This one I finally put up on Monday on the back porch. I am not sure that I like the location because it is kind of out of the path of the wind. I hardly ever hear it. I think that I will have to move it to a branch of the large pecan tree in center of the yard. I know I will hear it more placed there.

Most of the chimes at the World Market are very unique. The price is right as well. Most go for $20.00. A few of the really nice ones go up from there. Chimes really add to a garden and on a stressful day, they can add a little serenity to your frame of mind.
