Afternoon Buzz

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

A small plane carrying New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle crashed into a 50-story luxury condo building on Manhattan's Upper East Side Wednesday, killing Lidle and an instructor, igniting a raging fire and initially trapping people on the floors above the point of impact.

When this story broke it was mass buzzing in the office. All sorts fo speculationwas flying around the airwaves. Was it al-queda? Was it random? Where was homeland security? How was it that it was not until AFTER the plane hit that we were able to get jets scrambled and take over the skies above the U.S.?
What good is after? Obviously after is too late. Where were the radars and things that would detect the plane long before it ever crashed?

One of the staff said that we were in trouble and that we were not safe. I would have to agree. This was a test and we failed miserably. No one knew where the plane came from. It is a sad state of affairs.
