The Ultimate Gift

Snapshots In My Time...
Of My Time.....Hauntings.

"The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.” That is the basis of the movie, "The Ultimate Gift." It is a movie starring Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin, James Garner, Ali Hillis, Drew Fuller and Brian Dennehy that will be in movies theatres near you on March 9th. This is the official site of the movie "The Ultimate Gift" and the grass-roots movement its starting to help charities and give to others. Check it out as it might jut make a difference in your life.

The book was written by Jim Stovall several years ago. Jim Stovall has been a national champion Olympic weightlifter, a successful investment broker and entrepreneur. He is Co-Founder and President of the Narrative Televison Network, which makes movies and television accessible for our nation's 13 million blind and visually impaired people and their families. This movie has already had over 300 screenings that has resulted in over $5 million dollars being donated to charities around the world.

The Ultimate Gift takes the reader through the main character's (Jason) incredible work to gain his Uncle Red’s inheritance through a series of challenges. Every step of the way, there is a lesson for Jason and the reader. It’s a 12-month quest for purpose and meaning. It is all about sharing the gifts we have with others. It is also about love. Love for our families and others and how we can be a light in the world.

The weekend the movie opens, one dollar from each ticket sale will be donated to your charity of choice, thanks to the Fox Film Fund.
Century Fox saw something in this movie powerful enough to put it into its theaters. Clearly it is not one of the multimillion dollar blockbusters but it is a heartfelt, values-oriented movie. We need movies like this with all the things that lead us astray in todays world. Commercial things, money, porn, violence, gangs. We all need a movie like this to make us take our own journey of self-discovery. We need to look at what is important in our lives: money or happiness. "The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.” Think about that.
