I have heard it all. Wicca figure is now allowed on military headstones. I know that the government is not allowed to get mixed up in religion but something just seems not right with this. I guess it is the mystery and darkness that surrounds Wicca. I confess that I know nothing about Wicca and that belief system. From the movies and horror it seems to be something scary and dark. With that being allowed on headstones, it seems like the dark side is being recognized. It is a different world now. Anything goes. In a country where freedom of religion is a right, it means all religion. Even the Wicca.
The Wiccan pentacle has been added to the list of emblems allowed in national cemeteries and on goverment-issued headstones of fallen soldiers, according to a settlement announced Monday.
A settlement between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Wiccans adds the five-pointed star to the list of "emblems of belief" allowed on VA grave markers.
Eleven families nationwide are waiting for grave markers with the pentacle, said Selena Fox, a Wiccan high priestess with Circle Sanctuary in Barneveld, Wis., a plaintiff in the lawsuit.
The settlement calls for the pentacle, whose five points represent earth, air, fire, water and spirit, to be placed on grave markers within 14 days for those who have pending requests with the VA.

Hello, it's Kimberly again. I do know about Wicca and with a little education you will find out that there is nothing scary or dark about Wicca. It has long been demonized because it is NOT CHRISTIAN. It is typical of our society to demonize or call names about things they know nothing about. It is best that you gain as much intellectual knowledge about something before you criticize or condemn it, something which seems completely foreign to most ignorant Americans. A quote from Herbert Spencer which illustrates this idea well is this..."There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance: That principle is CONTEMPT PRIOR TO INVESTIGATION." Think about it. Many millions of people have been slaughtered because we believe something about them through the various forms of propaganda, and they were no more evil or dark than we are. It is important to remember that if you wish to extract yourself from the matrix, you stop believing everything it hands you. There is not one thing "evil" or even remotely resembling the horror movies in Wicca. While the motion picture industry uses their symbolism, they maliciously attribute it to "satanism" and this cannot be further from the truth. Wicca is a earth loving religion, based in individual spiritualism and basic homeopathic-type medicine(crafting). Many people were hanged and called "witches"(this term means "medicine" or "earth" practitioner) because the earth loving, natural religions(pagans) threatened the christian/catholic church. The church in connection with local politicians, needed followers, or, "sheeple", as I refer to them, to carry out their agenda of taxation, control of money, etc. Historically, the church has killed anybody who was a threat to their ultimate control and ownership of land or other resources. Read and educate yourself all you can, then make an informed decision. If not, then you are no better than the ignorant zealots who kill and propagate fear and ignorance to advance their own agenda, which is control without questions. Which pill will you take?
